Now we’re taking it a step further–Why We Dev will be LIVE!
Instead of seeing your questions answered in a blog post, you’ll get your answers from the experts in a webinar!
Think of it as a live Reddit AMA, giving you a chance to ask almost anything to some of your favourite aid and development experts. You can submit a question in advance, or join the webinar live and ask your question then.
Our very first Why We Dev Live will feature Ricardo Fuentes-Nieva, the Chief Executive Officer of Oxfam Mexico. Before beginning this position, he was the head of research at Oxfam Great Britain, where he led research in support of Oxfam’s global programs, notably the organisation’s research on economic inequality showing that the richest 85 people control as much wealth as the bottom half of the world. Before joining Oxfam, Ricardo worked at the UNDP, including on the first Africa Human Development Report, and at the Inter-American Development Bank. He has conducted research on food security, climate change, social security and social policy, regional development, income, poverty and inequality. He graduated with honours from Mexico City’s Center for Research and Teaching in Economics, and earned a Master’s degree in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain. You can also follow Ricardo on Twitter.
Why We Dev Live with Ricardo will take place on Google Hangouts on Air, Friday 27 November at 10:00-11:00am (Australian EDT)/ Thursday 26 November at 6:00-7:00pm (U.S. EST). If you have a Google+ profile, you can join the event and post your questions in advance or live here! If you do not have Google+, you can still watch via YouTube here–just make sure you submit your questions in advance, as you won’t be able to post them live through YouTube
Question submissions for YouTube viewers close next Wednesday, so submit yours now!
