about dev
whydev.org is a platform for every one interested in discussing a diverse range of topics from international development and foreign aid to career advice and morality. whydev.org provides a collaborative and participatory platform for individuals passionate about global issues. It also provides a way to communicate ideas, opinions, knowledge, doubts, questions and creativity so that we can take a collaborative and critical approach to everything we do in life.
The vision.
- Participation: there is a knowledge and participation deficit across the development space, which undervalues the incredibly diverse and deep experiences, knowledge and perspective of students, graduates and young professionals. whydev.org allows you to contribute to development through participation in a community of practice.
- Community of Practice: through a continuing engagement with peers, friends and colleagues, whydev.org facilitates the building of a community of practice, which is critical, reflexive and engaged. It also offers a great opportunity to network with other students, graduates, professionals and organisations from across the globe.
- Education: there is an urgent need to supplement and continue our education and learning for development. Contributing and participating in whydev.org allows you to remain critically engaged in current issues and perspectives.
The offer.
whydev.org enables you to lend your voice and energy to development issues and to continue your education and learning around development.
